ok i had my gallbladder removed 15 months ago after i had my little girl. for those of you who have had to have it removed you know what kind of pain it causes. now my question is that even though i had it removed sometimes i still have the pains like i had before it was removed i was wondering if this is a type of "phantom limb" or if it could be anxiety attackes or should i go to another doc to see if it was all taking out. also i have pics that they took during surgery and i dont see any of the gallbladder still there so im leaning towards anxiety attacks but i just wanted to know if anyone else has had these symptoms after having their gallbladder removed thanks

You can have some "non gallbladder attacks" I did for awhile after having my gallbladder removed. I just keep a food diary to see what triggered the pain, either elimnated or reduced what I ate. My doctor put me on Protonix, that has helped, still take it for other things. But talk to your doctor, and see if he has any suggestions.

I had mine removed 2 yrs. ago and don't have "phantom pains" but u hav a lot of other organs in there so go to a different dr. and see if maybe something else is going on.
