Unfortunately, they ARE going to take over America by their sheer numbers. Millions cross the border every year. They have lots of kids they can't afford. The kids automatically become U.S. citizens. Eventually, most American citizens will be Mexican who will vote for Mexicans. All of our government leaders will be Mexican. Our country will be overcrowded, poor, trashy, and gang infested just like Los Angeles. It will be the United States of Mexico.

Wake up America! Our incompetent government is allowing this happen and nothing is going to stop it.

Alias, you are funny. Your only defense is that they are less likely to commit elder abuse. That's a pretty pathetic defense of all my points.

Notice that since the Mexican answerers of this question cannot logically dispute my facts, their only resort is to call me racist.

I don't think it's a refusal to believe that Mexicans aren't up to something, they are, but in my opinion it isn't really a power takeover. I am an American Indian, I wish I could go back and warn my people about Columbus, like you are doing here -- *that* was a power takeover.

It is not the educated leadership of Mexico who is crossing the border. It is the uneducated poor working class, who have no ambitions in life other than to work hard until they die, and have many kids. These are not the traits of a dominant group, if they were dominant they would kick out the Mexican elite, and take over their own country.

If they can't run over their own government, what makes you think they can overpower the 300 million Americans from all nationalities and ethnic backgrounds that live here? There aren't enough Mexicans in Mexico to do that.

When you look at stats about hispanic population growth, the stats include Puerto Ricans, Cubans, Dominicans, South and Central Americans who are not all in agreement with the Mexican agenda.

What we have is a parasite problem. No matter how much they complain about gringos, they are dependent on gringo capitalism to survive. They talk about Aztlan and removing non-Mexicans from "their" land, but if they actually succeeded in doing so, they would have nothing because they are dependent on Americans.

Imagine if all American citizens packed up and left the U.S. Mexicans would cross the Canadian border to work for Canadians. The only thing Mexicans are "taking over" is the poor and lower-middle classes of America . They are forcing the American poor, and lower-middle class to sink or swim.

I am willing to bet that if there was an agressive take over for power it would be settled with a war, and there would be many dead Mexicans as a result.

All I know is that here in the Chicago, il they are the only ones with a job, and how they are being described as poor is beyond what I'm seeing. There's an article I read in in the tribune paper whereas Uno or one of the political figures here in Chicago had swindle the state of Illinois out of 290.mil taxpayer money they've built many charter schools one that looks like a space ship and these illegal children are wearing expensive uniforms to these schools the students are given field trips to San Francisco and Beijing, also they put the illegal parents to work paying them high salaries and the janitors who take care of these Mexican charter schools they sent them to Disney world to learn how to be better janitors. This our tax dollars being used to help illegals and Governor Quinn and Rahm Emanuel are in on this . These Mexicans are taking jobs from everyone who wants one and all that money is unaccounted for the last I read and also was on a discussion on 820am on a Sunday.

They cant and won't take over America. Here are my reasons.

1. New immigrants do not speak English very well, so they cannot participate effectively in the political process, plus they cannot vote.

2. Mexican Americans are fully integrated Americans, they speak English and have integrated themselves into our society and bring some Mexican culture to it. They do not cancel out American culture because they have assimilated it into their lives. Mexican Americans have the same attitudes as every other American regarding immigration and political issues. They do not all agree or feel the same way. Many Mexican Americans do not want "amnesty". Some are Republican, some are Democrats, some don't care. They don't vote the same. They are just like the rest of us.

3. A large number of non-English speaking, disenfranchised, poor, uneducated illegal who have no loyalty to the U.S. cannot take it over. It doesn't matter how many of them you have, their influence can never get past a certain point. They will remain an underclass. Large underclasses only influence politics through the sympathy and irrational fear from those of us who are participating citizens. They cannot make anything happen, they can only cause a reaction.

4. Half Mexican presidential candidate......so what? He's a US citizen. Mexican Americans will not vote for him because of his Mexican heritage, just like all African Americans won't vote for Obama. Many Latinos want Alberto Gonzales fired. If you could fire a Supreme Court Justice, I would have Clarence Thomas fired, then publicly flogged. Race and politics don't always unite.

5. Quit being paranoid.

Most do believe Mexicans are taking over America but are helpless to do anything about it without the support of the government and law enforcement. A real pity.

America is unfortunatly losing it's identity little by little. As this country is being OVERRUN by foreigners, bit by bit our heritage is being lost. People go to great lengths to get into this country and once they are here they suck off of our welfare and then critisize the country that is putting a roof over their head. They want to take "under god" out of the pledge of allegiance? I'm sorry but that is BS. Next they will want us to take "in god we trust" off of our money and it wont stop there. This is a christain country founded on christain beliefs! Tolerating other religions is fine but why should we bend over backwards to accomodate everyone?

You have some valid points, but other things you said are WAY out in "left field".

Usually "taking over" means that there is violence, there is a coup, the Government is overthrown, and a new form of Government (or a dictatorship is established).

That's not what I'm seeing. What I see MOST Mexicans doing is cleaning houses, babysitting kids, washing dishes and mowing lawns.

I don't deny the Birth Rate needs to be reduced (actually among EVERYONE, not just Mexicans) but some of the "can't afford" is because us upper-class snotty "white folks" will not pay them a decent wage for an EARNED day of work.

The "...will vote for Mexicans" part ..... is simply nonsense. Where is the Mexican 2008 presidential candidate? Exactly how many Mexicans ARE holding public office? None, last I checked because you had to be a UNITED STATES citizen.

Nobody I know wants poor, trashy, gang-infested and overcrowded neighborhoods. They existed BEFORE this supposed "immigration crisis". Part of the way you fix that is yes, deport people that don't contribute to this Country and don't belong here. But you and most people here at Y!A really need to learn to stop lumping ALL Mexicans into that group.

LOL WOW Linda you really got hit by the illegals and the pro illegal people today. I agree with you!! I think if we do not close our boarders to illegal immigration that we are in big trouble.

You are right about Los Angleles. It is a dump. it reminds me of Tijuana.

We have rental properties, we used to live in one of the houses. When we first moved in there was a Mexican woman living in a rental house with her family (4 kids and one o the way) plus her sister's family.(3 bedroom 1 bath house with 13 people!!) She asked when we were going to have kids. I told her we weren't financially ready yet. She looked at me with a blank look on her face and said well you can get WIC to help with baby formula and food stamps. I told her no we didn't need public assistance. I told her we will wait until we can afford kids with out help. She just didn't get it. The family had insurance through the state, received food stamps and WIC. There are many families in that neighborhood that are the same way. It make me ill to think my taxes are going to pay for her WIC and food stamps.

If you are a person who employs Mexican under the table to increase your profit margin or If you hire a Mexican to be your nanny or housekeeper, because you're getting a great deal or If you are a politician taking campaign money to turn a blind eye on this issues. It is your fault. It is NOT the Mexicans fault for taking the deal that some of our US citizens are offering.

I believe it. I see it everyday.

From radio stations being taken over into all Spanish stations, to Mexicans living in houses with numerous families. Illegals cost Americans billions of dollars in health care costs, education, taxes, etc, etc ,etc. It is ridiculous!!!!

When will our government wake up??????????????????
