Well, first of all i came from a really "machista" kind of culture...the latina one!, so i totally understand why guys would do that, i undestand, but i don't agree. You can always talk to somebody, as long as the conversations don't go into private matters...myspace, or not..even in person, if you have a girl talking to your guy all the time about private stuffs, it would eventually ruin your relationship, because guys can't be totally for you when you need them, they are always half with you, and half with that other "special girl"...why they do it?...sometimes is just the fact that they can say "i have a bounch of chicks who likes me"...i've heard my best guy friends say that sooo many times, they trow away good relationships because they want to prove their friends, or themselves that they can "do better", have more chicks...etc.
People that cheat, or do stuffs like that in myspace is because they have self-steem problems, they feel like they have to prove that they are great! and every girl wants to be with them, guys usually don't say it, or at least my friends don't...you probably won't ever hear a guy saying "ooh my..i think i'm not pretty enought for her...or good enough for her"...they usually act like they could do anything, confident, because they know that girls don't like a guy who has self-steem problems, but it also leads to this kind of problems, and no...i do not think a relationship on myspace is worth trowing all your perfect relationship away, but think about it!, someone that really would value, and care about what he has would never try to do anything to mess it up, or loose it, so that makes you think!, if your b/f really loves you, then why does he go look for other girls?...maybe he doesn't love you, or appreciate you enough [takes u for granted].

Its emotional cheating - When a person frequently speaks with, or emails someone who they are interested in they begin an emotional relationship - even if they never plan on seeing the person. These relationships can sometimes escalate to sexual ones - where sexual pictures and words are exchanged.
I personally would be just as hurt if my boyfriend was to begin an emotional relationship because that's what I'm supposed to be here for.
It's definitely cheating. Think about how you would feel if you were on the un-knowing end.

I had a similar situation w/my boyfriend. We met on a singles dating website and after a month after we are seeing each other he still has his add on line and is talking to girls. I approached him and he said he's just talking w/them. But if he's happy with me (or so he says) then why is he still trying to pursue other women? I think cheating is cheating. Same goes if your b/f if still talking with an ex. There is no reason for that if you are in a committed relationship. If your mate is bothered by this, then let it go, its not worth loosing somebody over. Commitment must be a hard thing for a lot of people to accomplish in this day and age.

Myspace gets you cought up - I've seen bumper stickers saying, "Myspace ruiened my life". Sad, but true - myspace is a death trap for some people. They get cought into the hype. My boyfriend adds all these half naked girls onto his myspace - it upsets me, but I don't mind much - they're just internet girls... half of them have fake pictures anyway.
I agree with you - a guy will have a different answer than me.

Couple shouldn't use myspace or any other collaborating sites. Simply because it causes drama and dis-trust in a relationship. There always those excuses; I used it to talk to my friends or I just use it for networking, PLEASE. Whenever there is a gateway to the opposite sex, its exactly for the reason to talk to the opposite sex and keep your options open because you think you might have small chance of meeting someone better without your partner knowing. Couples should concentrate on getting to know each other not other people.

so a techniques, to me, MySpace is purely positive, it relies upon on the way you manage each little thing provided for you. messages, tricks, in spite of the indisputable fact that all of us comprehend some are extremely undesirable. yet this would not take place in basic terms in MySpace. Even in different places exist infamous characters that can get into your nerves. that's not complicated and yet that's not hassle-free holding relationships the way you % them to be. to proceed to be relax and not taking or pushing something in direction of extremeties will actually save you as a preservator of your very own venture.

My space is not worth ruining any meaningful relationship over. Flirting is not cheating. It depends on what you're talking about. If your best friend's boyfriend was dumb enough to cheat on his girlfriend with people he doesn't know then you know where his head was in the first place.

I think Myspace is kinda stupid, and anyone who would risk their relationship by flirting on Myspace is stupid. It isn't worth it. And you can't have real relationships with people on Myspace anyway, so it is very stupid to ruin your real relationship by flirting with people on Myspace.

If he cheats with girls on myspace, then he would have cheated even before myspace was invented. Cheating is cheating no matter what.

As a woman I would not go on there or flirt with other men if I was in love with my boyfriend and had respect for him. It's just not right and if he or she is doing that then the relationship is over anyway. Love=Trust, you can't have one without the other...
