Sort of. Soon after we decided that copying down the genetic code was the end of the story, we realized that we'd been thrown another curve ball when it became evident that genetic expression determines much more of who we are than the genes that we carry. So free will could play a role in shaping our destiny, and the genes we carry certainly don't define us completely- they are just a list of possible elements to choose from.
We spent embarrassing decades upon decades trying to ascribe criminality and immorality to certain races, now its evident that neglect and abuse of children turns them into violent criminals not only psychogically, but through physiological changes in genes and hormones.
Who knows if there is any end to the number of curve balls that God has thrown us. I think that God created science itself, not some parallel universe. Creationists just don't get it. Science and God are not mutually exclusive. God could have created science, and science could have created God. Who cares? Maybe they both exist- has anyone considered that possibility?

No. Eternal life is impossible. And free will is a illusion as every decision you make is affected either by chemicals in the brain or the arrangement of neurones formulation memories and thoughts. You can't make a unaffected decision. Say no to jesus

Not that I'm aware of. They isolated the ASPM gene that triggers brain growth in mankind which hammered a few nails in the creationist coffin.

I would say that there doesn't appear to be free will or the possibility of eternal life, so the answer has to be "no".

No. No they have not. They also haven't isolated the baked potato gene or the super duper cranky gene.
