try doing this .. in your desktop right click the my computer then click on the properties ... you will find there the system properties box click on the advance bar and click on setting performance click setting .....and then choose click the let windows choose whats best for my computer.. and then click OK

You can find Folder Options under, Start>>Settings>>Folder Options.
Folder Options are also available in the control panel under Internet something...

If you open "My Computer" or "Explorer" on the top you should see a menu that has a few things:
File / Edit / View / Favorites / Tools / Help.
When you see that, if you click the "Tools" menu, at the bottom of that you will see "Folder Options"
