Im 34 , I have been in some long term relationships and want to start dating again. I just have been out of the dating scene for a bit.

I go to the beach here a lot and there are lots of women there but I am having a hard time starting conversations with them. I feel like I will put my foot in my mouth . Or just not know what to say to a stranger. Any Ideas???

I have been told I am attractive and I am not really afraid of rejection , I just don't want to sound like an idiot when I try to speak to a woman.

Any suggestions for making conversation and getting over the initial shyness would be appreciated, Thanks

Try complementing her on her hair or the nice dress she's wearing. Then tell her you hope she's having a great day. Then ask her her name and so on. Just show confidence in yourself and tell about yourself but make sure to make it a two way conversation. Good luck to you! You sound like a very nice guy.

Its not hard at all, but the hardest part WOULD be the starting of conversations. If you ask me, best approach is to just walk up to a pretty woman you see and say

"Hey, i couldn't help but notice you standing over here and I just wanted to introduce myself (smile). I'm _____, and whats your name young lady?"

as soon as she tell you her name, everything will flow pretty simply. Just act like you're talking to one of your female friends on the phone. Ask her is she having a good day and if she comes there often. And to seal the deal, ask her if she wants your number, and if she smiles and acts interested then ask her for hers too.

Even though i make it sound like its gonna be simple, its hard for a shy person. I used to be shy too, but once I realized that the worse thing they can say is "no", it gets easier.

first of all, just be yourself. it is hard to start conversations with someone you dont know, but take the chance. who knows, it might start into a nice conversation. whatever you are doing or wherever you are at, ask ?? about the place. that may get her to start talking. i am shy too, but you know i just say f*@# it and start talking. they dont know me or anything about me so if they dont like me, so what! just be yourself and things should come naturally! good luck!!!!
