Attitudes like this: "I dont deny evolution I just dont except that we humans were once monkeys swinging from trees."

Isn't it one of the major sins to be more prideful than a monkey?

Pride is one thing......

Absolute truth is quite another.

And the absolute truth is: We were created....along with this earth and the universe.

I don't think that pride is the major factor in christian's denial of evolution, but I certainly do hear a hint of it every now and then coming from their corner. lol

First of all evolution does not say we were monkeys. We and apes split off a common ancestor and each evolved in its own way.

I would have to interpret that statement to say "I don't deny evolution, I just don't know anything about it, so I can't have an actual informed opinion."

I wouldn't call that pride.

Of personal opinion to me, one disputing a very refutable claim doesn't signify pride. For example if i say, Bill Clinton is still president and you refute me, does that make YOU full of pride?

Yes it is pride. Assuming that you have more worth than anything, animate or inanimate is both prideful and foolish.

The key is to be proud of your own humility! Now that is the ultimate challenge, if you are successful you will automatically pop out of existence!
