Hi there, I am a Veterinarian Technition and hope to help! It is not uncommon at all for us to see a few dogs a week with crystals in the urine. The Clavamox is an anti-biotic and along with the prescription food (is it Urinary SO by any chance?) will eliminate the crystals. Crystals can and will go away, it might take a while, but don't you worry! I hightly recommend once the Clavamox is finished (usually vet's will prescribe it for 14 days) to bring another urine sample to your vet office so they can recheck the urine for traces of crystals. Good luck and no worries!

Crystals in the urine is also a symptom from the recalled rat poisoned/wheat dog food. Blood work needs to be done and check this site www.menufoods.com go to recall and lists and symptoms. one is extreme thirst Diarreaha REnal disfunction. Basiclly what you think would happen if you ate rat poison. If you are worried about the foods as am I feed RICE or RICE BASED dog foods I BELIEVE ROYAL CANINE IS ONE OF THEM.
DO you remember what happened with the mad cow big mac burgurs1.00 sale. SOme how greed always promotes selling the piosoned food rather than destroying it. It is my opinion htat people should avoid wheat for a while also. YOu can E-mail me at itsybitsyminipini@yahoo.ca

This is a form of urinary tract infection.
It is more common in cats( been my experience)
listen to your vet
after your done with this problem ....instead or paying so much for the perscription diet food check into store bought foods that are PH balanced
this is the difference in the food that will keep thi from reoccurring
good luck

Yeah, my fox terrier had that once too... he was walking around the house dripping pee all over the place and looked uncomfortable... I gave him the prescription dog food that the vet prescribed and he got better.
