if you fancy a boy and ur shy of each other and dont talk to each other much and the guy knows u fancy him how do you know if he fancies you back coz im really afraid to ask him out and all my mates keep on telling me to move on and some of his mates even embarrass me in front of him .

OK...I understand your dilemma but let me tell you this:
One day you will wake up and realize that life is too short to be shy; if you like someone and you are not sure if he likes you, why don't you just ask him out and see what he says. Even if he says NO, you lost nothing. You are still you and you are still single and now you know that he doesn't like you for sure so you can move on. The thing is that if you wait and wait for him to either ask you out or till he finds another girlfriend, you might pass on a real opportunity. You can meet a guy that is really worth your time instead of wondering away.
Listen, I'm not criticizing you for being shy cos I used to be like that. But in life you have to learn how to take things that you want because no one is going to come knocking on the door and giving you your dream job, your dream guy or anything else you might want. So, it's best that you learn how to take things into your hands sooner than later because it will be useful in the long run.
Just walk up to him when he's alone (if you feel uncomfortable around his friends...BTW if they start making fun of you, just tell them to mind their own business!) and be like: "I heard a lot of good things about this movie...Would you like to come see it with me this weekend?" And if he says "NO!" you smile and tell him: "OK you had your chance, now I'm gonna find someone else who's really worth my time."

This might seem obvious, but why not ask him out using msn?
Then if he says no, you can be as upset as you like and he won't see, and you don't have to be embarrassed.
He'll probably say yes though, so remember to have an idea in mind about where you might like your first date to be.

Stop being negative, talk to each other, be friendly, enjoy each others company, if there is a spark there it will show, and just let it develope.
