It seems to last forever. I hate the smell of potpourri. Most of it has solvents in it. It's not good to constantly inhale that stuff. Instead, try a few drops of essential oil on a light bulb. No solvents in a good essential oil and some have a calming or stimulating effect, depending on what you need. Check out youngliving.com
