At what age do you feel uncomfortable bathing your daughter? What about helping her on the potty, putting on lotion, or applying diaper rash cream.

Seems like kind of a touchy subject, so I don't want to flat out ASK my husband. But I'm so comfortable doing these things, I forget that maybe he's NOT comfortable, and maybe I shoudl cut him some slack.

My daughter is 3 and her daddy still helps me change her diapers and give her baths. I do the majority of it, but he does not feel uncomfortable at all doing these things, but all men are different. When our daughter turned 2 he had started to back off on a lot of the things expect helping her get dressed for school in the morning (I was working days) but then last summer she had a spinal cord injury and we had to start all over with potty training and helping her with everything. so maybe the situation is different.
If he was willing to help out before but is backing off a bit now, its more than likely that he just isn't comfortable doing these things anymore. And that is okay. She has mommy there to help her out.

I am not sure when it becomes uncomfortable for men to do these chores for their daughters. I usually just did what needed to be done for my daughter and then when our boys were born my husband took up most of the chores for them. It just worked that way for us. I would have to say that after about 1-2 years old, they might feel more comfortable having their mom do the batheing, cream, and lotion.

If she is still a little girl using the potty then he shouldn't feel uncomfortable. I mean she's his daughter. It's not like he is sexually attracted to her or anything. He shouldn't really be uncomfortable touching someone that he produced as long as it's something that he needs to do. Don't worry about it. If you had a son you probably wouldn't get uncomfortable would you?

I would never feel uncomfortable doing any of those things until my daughter could do it on her own. It should not even be an issue.

Anyone that would see something weird or kinky in that has issues of their own.

When they start kindergarten. When the child is in school they should be able to do things on their own and if not they call on their mother.

I say that if she still needs help then he should be there for her. He shouldn't feel uncomfortable.
And with presleyg..'s comment....you mean to tell me you'll never have your husband help with your daughter....how would you feel if he said you can;t touch your son?!?!?!
