As God would be merely a small part of this vast universe, do you think the universe would pay him any special attention? Would God be significant to the Universe?

I don't think so. I don't think this man made deity would be of relevance to the cosmic consciousness that links everything in the universe.

I'm sorry you see things this way, that anything you can visibly see is comparable with God. God created this universe, so no matter how 'big' it is, the vastness of God is immeasurably bigger. By acknowledging God as creator, then Yes-the universe does pay him special attention. "Some people find value in reality" was an answer you gave to the question "Why do you suppose that people insist on imagining that there is No God?" By asking this question you are acknowledging if not the existence of God, then it is acknowledgement that a belief in him does exist. You believe that if God does exist he is "merely a small part of this vast universe". I believe that he would be a small part too if not for the fact that anytime anyone creates something, they are actually a HUGE part of that creation!

No. The universe has too much going on to care about a Christian god.

Are you speaking of a god who is not our creator? Being that God created the universe, it seems...silly, to say the least, to refer to him as "a small part of this vast universe".

Or maybe it is just me...

God who? I think if you left this planet like Capt. James T. Kirk did you would find that no other place in this universe would know about any one of the earthly gods because they were created on earth by man.
