If you are going the wrong way, you gotta back up sometimes.

Well, I guess if you were doing something good, and progress to something else that's not as good, then yes, backwards would be progress.

Such as if a store was selling an item for $5, and thought that if they upped it to $7 they would make more money, but then find that they make less money. Then going back to $5 would be going backwards, and still be progress.

I believe going backwards in respect for Nature and animals like people used to have but no longer do would be progress.

It could be. If we find out that we are making a serious mistake in what we're doing and that the older ways were better, then that would be progress. For instance, they are discovering that keeping windows open in hospitals (which they did in the old days) is a better way of keeping down the spread of TB than any of the modern methods. Which one would you do?

Sometimes it takes hard lessons to make you realize what is important and where you want to go in life. So yes make it a positive and learn from our errors is very beneficial for all of us.

I guess it could be if what you came from is better than where you went. It wouldn't make much sense to be raised in palace but elect to live on the streets instead of going back home.

If you were taking the wrong route then heading back to the right route would be progress.

Creationists think so. They regard their attempts to undermine science and drag us back into the dark ages as progress.

It depends....

We need to take a step back in order to realize that we are sinners in need of a Savior.

But the reward for doing that is eternal.....

So it is progress for the Christian
