Brittish slang for something I think, just not sure exactly what it means.

It's a bit of friendly banter. I take it 'cheeky' translates in american, but not sure I can explain git - it's not a curse name or anything. Is really a jokey response to something cheeky you've said. An example - if you said to me 'you look like you've put on a few pounds' I would call you a cheeky git (if I liked you, if I didn't I would call you something else, hehe)

It's a jokey kind of insult for someone who's charmingly arrogant, but it's awkward to translate
