You will first be greeted by an employee. You will have a choice of buying a package deal or just one visit ( personally tan easily and only need to buy the ten visits per year but get what you think you will use). Then I would be sure to tell the employee it is your first time tanning. They will have you fill out a card for health purposes and show you how to use the tanning booth. I would ask for the regular bed and they will take you to the room. It should have a door with a lock. If it doesn't then just go somewhere else. If you don't want to tan your bottom then I suggest you purchase a pair of brief underwear or a swimsuit. They won't get damaged by tanning in them. You will set the time you wish to tan for and get in the bed and close the top. A timer will go off when the time is up.

You may want to research certain tan enhancing lotions. Try to stay clear of those that tan you very fast since this is your first time. Go with a mild one. Trust me on this.

You may keep on anything you want, but, really, the best way to tan is completely naked. Otherwise you end up with white marks on your body that detract from the great look of an overall tan.

If you're concerned about hygiene you can bring some antiseptic wipes with you and wipe down the tanning bed before you use it (even though a first rate establishment will do that after every use, you can be certain if you do it yourself.)

Most tanning salons have doors that lock, so don't worry about your privacy when you're in there.

Remember to be careful of the parts of your body that may not have been exposed to the sun all that much in the past...your boobs and nipples, butt and genitals. Any of those areas can burn, so put a small amount of sunscreen on them the first few times you go. Not a lot or you'll have the white marks I mentioned...just enough to avoid a burn.

I would have to say a thong. Where I used to go they did not give you disposable underware and the room did lock. Also many places have stand up machines where you just stand there so you don't touch anything. Since you haven't tanned in a machine before, you need to be careful not to go in too long. And remember that the places that have never seen the sun are delicate and burn easily. When you go in they will ask you questions like whether you burn easily they will assign you a bed that they think is appropriate (some are stronger than others) and they will also give you a towel. It kinda varies from place to place. Also there is special tanning bed lotion that they may want to sell you. Hope this helps.

The place I go to, I walk in they check me in to the computer and I tell them how long I want to go. Sometimes I ask them for a certain bed. I tan in my bra and panties. My hubby likes the tan lines. The doors do have locks on them. I put my lotion on and get into the bed. The lights go off when it is done, then you get dressed and leave. When you get home put lotion on so your skin does not dry out.
When you go for the first week just stay in the bed for about 6 minutes or under. You do not want to burn!! After the 1st week you can up the time.

You definately CAN placed on a washing healthful, yet I WOULDN"T. if your worried approximately burning your deepest factors purely start up out very low at first. some factors would have by no skill seen the solar till now. Its continuously extra advantageous to commence low and artwork your way up particularly than tanning too long and getting burnt and peeling and then having performed it inquisitive approximately not something and would start up over. if your worried approximately it being unsanitary, clean the beds your self till now you get in regardless of if the sign says they have been wiped clean already.

i alway go tanning naked.
unless you like tan lines...

if they don't have doors that lock, go to another tanning salon.

normally, you either tell the clerk you are ready and she/he starts the tanning machine or you press on a button and if they don't show you how to, ask them once you are there.

Don't forget to wash the machine before and after you tan, and to put on lots of cream before and after.
Good luck!

when you walk in you pay and they assign you your own private room that does lock. in the room is towels and goggles. that's all they give you so if you want to cover up you have to bring your own stuff. usually people wear their bathing suits so the tan lines match

Try asking the tanning salon personnel. The policies will vary from place to place.
