I'm new at this yahoo answer thing but I've noticed there are a lot of people that hate the thought of tattoos. What I don't understand is if they hate tattoos so much why is it necessary to leave such stupid comments 4 ppl that do enjoy them. Do they actually think their words will change someones minds? or I guess I should ask what do they think their going 2 accomplish?

I still think the haters are repressed, wishing they could express themselves more. But instead, they choose to insult those who have taken the chance to choose a form of art that has been around since the beginning of time. Also, tattoos are very personal. All of my tattoos I got for me, not because they are 'in', not because others are doing it. And I am going on having mine for 15 years. I still do not regret them.

You are right, but you know what they did ask the question. Some people ask ``if it a good idea``, some ask ``where do you think I should put it``, others ask ``does it hurt and how much``. So these people ask a question and they damn well should know that they are gonna get answers from tattoo lovers and haters. I`m not a Tattoo hater, actually I think some of them are quite cool, and that tattoos are a work of art and a way for some people to express themselves. I have no problem with some one getting a tattoo. My problem is when they do it because they want to fit in or be cool, that means they are not doing for them self they are actually doing it for vanity reasons or for friends. Another problem is that they jump and get it done without thinking about the consequences or the aftermath.I think if you are gonna get a tattoo done you should really think about it . Ask your self the questions, ``am I gonna be ok with this the day after I get it done``, ``will I be able to stand the pain``, How am I gonna feel about this 10yrs from now, am I gonna feel the same way``. It is not nice to live your life with regrets, what do you think?

I agree with you, but we see this question weekly.

Keep in mind this is an open, public forum and any question posted here is on the main page and accessible by anyone. So if someone sees it, sadly, they are allowed to say what they like.

If the comment is bad enough, report it. But its best to ignore it and keep in mind that we aren't as shallow and close minded as those people and NEVER pass judgment on people the way that some do. Like I said, ignore it and be the better person.

I love tattoo's and the positive comments but i also like to read comment from the so called haters. It's good to hear other peoples view on things. I don't like the sarcastic comments they are pointless and people just do it to earn points.

haters or not, they have opinions and even though i hate getting the retarded or mean answers too, some of them can be quite comical as to how people think, sometimes i really get a kick out of the fact that people actually think the way they do, lol.....i think if your going to say that you dont like tattoos, the least they could do is not be so harsh or mean with their opinions, thats my question....why ppl have to be so harsh with their snide remarks, if your going to voice your opinion, feel free, its a free world, and in asking questions like that then yes you need opinions from both sides of the fence......but seriously, dont get your panties in a bunch, i have two tattoos but i could care less what other ppl say, its what they think, not me......

I love tattoos, people who try to talk other people out of getting them don't realize that there is nothing wrong with a tattoo, that they are just close minded. I have a tattoo and a lot of people tell me, well if God wanted you to have something permanent on your body he would of made you that way, and I always say back to them. Well if God didn't want me to have something permanent on my body he wouldn't of created man to create tools to put that permanent thing on my body. I think tattoos are a great way of expressing yourself and showing yourself as an individual.

I think 'tattoo haters' respond because in some way their opinion was asked. I personally do not like tattoos and will never have one myself, but don't care one way or the other if other people have them. It's their life, their body. I LOVE art, but tattoos just look like cheap poster or cartoon art to me.

It's the same with any form of hate. You can't reason with them. Don't even try. Let them show the world how full of hate and ignorance. The more the yell and scream the worse they make themselves look.

Ignore them. Really. They are annoying as hell, but apparently they really have nothing better to do than to judge people who appreciate the fine art of tasteful body modification. And some of them call US immature. Just ignore the haters and let God be your judge.
