you mean Coca Cola the soft drink or that white powder that the cops make such a fuss over?
If you are refering to The soft drink, American whiskey goes well with coke as does Kentucky a sour mash bourbon and Tennessee;s two great whisky's Jack Daniels and George Dickel. Most Canadian whiskeys perfer a lemon based soft drink instead of a cola base, Vodka, gin, Tequila Scotch and Irish whiskeys have their own helpers but most stand alone

Yes, often. Haha, kidding... I like Jack n coke. Jack Daniels whiskey isn't that expensive, and won't be ruinted by the coke. Many people say that real whiskey should be served alone, or on the rocks (ice). Its a good drink, that you can make, and not mess up, and any bartender can make quickly if you're out. I like to add a slice of lime, and its good. Enjoy

Two issues first come to mind.
The first being are you of legal age to consume the whiskey?
The second is what kind of whiskey are you drinking?
There have been many discussions concerning the sugars and CO2 leading to hangover symptoms from mixing and over consumption. My theory is if you like the flavor and drink in moderation it does not really matter.

What a terrible ingredient to do to Coke! Coke tastes only fantastic with none substances. in case you drink good whiskey, it also tastes only fantastic without substances. Why cut back to rubble both?

It would be an insult to good whiskey to mix it with coke. If all you want to do is to get hung over, look for the cheapest booze and mix with whatever. Don't try it with any quality stuff.

I agree with some of the other posts. Depends on what you are drinking .....Low to mid level Canadian , American Whiskys can (and probably should be mixed) but the high end stuff should be consumed straight up . If you like to mix then I wouldn't spend the extra money on expensive stuff .

jack and coke is my fav! and i have never gotten a hangover from drinking too much. i think the coke in it settles your stomach enough for that not to happen. so, in answer to your question... mix away!!
unless youre talking about cocaine, then the answer might be a bit different! :(

Only if you want a hangover. Whiskey is better with water and/or ice.

If it's a blended, low quality whiskey, go ahead and mix.
Single malt whiskeys are made to be enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
