I don't think there is one that's the best, honestly. I prefer the Celtic Trad myself because it fits within my personal set of beliefs I had before I found it. The most violent, well... Asatru (Norse) is pretty violent, but it still holds to a code of honor. Asatru is a religion formed by and for warriors. Discordianism and Chaos Magic are, from what I've been told, violent... well, they accept violence as part of life and don't try to control it the same way others do.
I guess you could say that all the ancient Pagan paths were violent... they were all violent people living during violent times. Modern Paganism though, is more about being connected with the divine in life itself while ignoring the darker sides of ourselves. (which isn't a good thing, in my opinion).

I don't think we've had too many attempts to figure out which is the "best" - most of us don't really seem to care. Celtic Reconstructionism is the best for me, IMO, but that's about it.
As for violent? Not particularly applicable either, though if you're looking for someone to have your back in a fight, I'd pick a Norse or Celtic Pagan.

I'm going to proceed under the assumption that you're talking about Neo-Paganism (the family of modern religions that are based on older faith practices, are earth-oriented, and tend to be polytheistic), not classical Paganism or the looser definition of Paganism which means "anything that isn't Judaism, Christianity, or Islam".
The form of Neo-Paganism that is the best -- for you -- is the one that makes the most sense to you and fulfills you the most spiritually.
Unlike Christianity, Neo-Paganism doesn't play the "my denomination is the ultimate best!" game very often. Neo-Pagans of all different types tend to co-exist pretty peacefully, respecting each others' strengths and spiritual offerings.

Violent? I've never heard of any violent pagan groups... I've heard of violent people who choose to try to align themselves with pagan groups like the Aryans who are now declaring themselves a part of the Norse pagan groups, which is hooie, but no overtly violent pagan groups.
Whatever works for you to teach you altruism, wisdom and so on is what's "best".

What form of Paganism is best depends on the person. I dont think any form of Paganism is violent but Satanism is.

I don't know about the violence factor and I don't believe that any one pagan (or non-pagan) religion is best for everyone. The path that fits my personal beliefs and gives me inspiration and ways to worship my deities is a Celtic Reconstructionist path. Of course, your mileage may vary...
Yeah, Arcadian Stormcrow, I'd have your back! :-)

The vast majority of Pagans are peaceful and tolerant of others.

Paganism is not at all about violence. Complete opposite in fact. I wouldnt say any one form is better than others, it's all about how you feel about it.
