I hate the bee- atch, but our little charade of ignoring and avioding one another has gone on long enough. It gets really old really fast. I don't even care though, I hate the hag but, my dad says that if I don't make up with her, he doesn't want me living there anymore...

i don't know why you hate the bee-atch, but have you given her a chance at all?

sometimes we feel abandoned when a parent remarries, and take it out on the new spouse..... we need to realize our parents deserve to be happy, too.

that being said, would you be able to ask your stepmom if you two could talk OUTSIDE of the house (so you are on mutual ground, like a restaurant or go to the park). ?

it would be better for everyone if you could try to accept your stepmom as a person. you can be the bigger person by apologizing first, and asking her if there is anything the two of you can do to try to get along?

it can't be fun living with all that stress and tension.

it's your father's and her home, and you are living under their roof for now... probably best to make amends and try to get along...

i wish you all the best.

Stepmoms can be hard to get along with . Ask yourself why you hate her so much . Try to put yourself in her shoes . Would you act any different then her ? If at all possible talk .Tell her you need to be sociable but not necessarily lovable . She knows you need a place to live so she isn't going to give much . Maybe a little RESPECT from both of you guys would go along way . Try for your dads sake . I'm sure he loves you both and this is tearing him apart . Be the bigger person .

This is going to take both of you, if she's part of the problem as you say.

Treat her like your school principal or someone similar. Or like the parents of a friend, that you want to impress. You don't want to be rude and get in trouble, but you don't want to avoid necessary talks either. Just be quiet, say as little as possible, and avoid her company for a while. In time, you'll be better able to have short conversations with her, even if you're never going to be friends.

The best thing to do is to try as much as possible to like her. Let her know what you do not like about her in the presence of your Dad and start behaving as her son or daughter.

Maybe when you mature and are sincerely ready to make up, you'll figure out what to say. Treat her like you like to be treated. With respect. Kill her with kindness.

you're only doing it to stay in the house....she'll see right thru that crap. If you can't be sincere, don't waste your breath or her time.

Just tell her that you are sorry. That's all you have to do.
