dont you think if you could do anything, controlled everything, there would be no element of risk or chance. That would be boring. especially after eternity.
thats why god needs the devil, and created us. perhaps he is us, and is in human form without the memory he had. racial memory only. and what we do is more to chance, but not unguessable, through gaming theory and the rules of biology and physics.

God is always enjoying "great satisfaction and bliss," and he is constantly enlightened, always positive, not negative. He is always enjoying the company of His pleasure potency expansions, He is all-pervading. either in the material world or in the spiritual world; because He is the supreme enjoyer and supreme controller, for Him there is no distinction between the material and spiritual worlds. The material world is an impediment for the ordinary living entities, us, because we are under its control, but God, being the controller of the material world, has nothing to do with the impediments it offers.
Evil, comes from Him, but He is unaffected by it, that is why He is Absolute. In the spiritual world, there is no evil. When we want to enjoy separated from God, and try to become God, He create this playground, material Universe, for us, so we can try our childish attempt, and suffer our sinful reaction of our evil activities.

God does not control everything. Wars, crime and sin are all evidences of man denying His influence in their lives.
He is also a perfect gentleman. When told to leave someone's life, He politely exits and waits patiently to be invited back.
Anyone who loves deeply and serves others, lives a full and rich life. God is perfect at love and service.
Bored? Never.
Footnote: He loves every person who lives on the earth, and serves every one of us in ways we do not yet see or acknowledge.

Yes, you would have no free will. You would know your own future down to the moment. Immortality is meaningless if you see it all coming. You'd exist outside of time and be alone forever.
It's not what it is cracked up to be

It could be quite boring being God, but God could control you like a Voodoo doll - which would be quite cool!
