Hello. I discovered that Brazil and India are the largest producers of patents in technologies that help to preserve nature. I don't know if Brazil is well known in India but I would like to open a debate about the possibilities envolving the to countries. There are more things in common between the two countries: powerful economy, big population and problems with poverty. I believe that soon the Brazilian government will try an approach with India.

* obs.: My source is "Folha de São Paulo", the largest newpaper in Brazil (and probably in Latin America). Brazilian population is the 5th largest, so it isn't small. In that research ( I'm using my memory), the countries that dominates clean technologies are India, Brazil and China. But I will take a look to check it.

No because Brazil doesn´t need the help of anyone.

80% of their electricity comes from renewables and a large part of their fuel comes from biofuels so they are the first large country in the future which could become carbon neutral (assuming they stop deforesting). Brazil has huge resources and a low population.

Comparatively, India has a smaller territory but 6 times the number of inhabitants... so really the situations are very different. India has a lot of older backwards industries which should be eliminated first.

Last but not least, I doubt your figure since I often read that Germany has the highest amount of patents in renewable energies and controlls 60% of the wind generation (because of the components produced) and 35% of the solar PV industry.

Moreover the UK controlls almost ALL the carbon finance and all projects are decided in London.
