They question what they cannot see. Also, if they accept the fact that he is in charge and the ultimate authority that means that they are not as superior as once believed. They answer to one greater then they whom they cannot 'visibly' verify. Don't know true faith.

The reason is because we are part of space dust and all human creatures have a soul designed by God. If God created us through evolution and intelligent design, then we have a built in desire to find him and talk about him and disagree about how he did it too!
It would be like GPS and the way an address is built-in from intelligent electrical and space engineers. If they are Good at their job, just imagine what God is good at.
People needs include; survival, freedom, fun, power and love &belonging and God is that perfect lover and fills all of humanity without failing.

Man is the only creature that stands on the cusp of the material and spiritual, the temporal and infinite. It is natural to ponder what one senses is there but left unanswered. Maybe it's a test to see who really wants to graduate from the world as we know it and take flight to higher realities. "the road to life is narrow, and few are those that travel it"

Because so many want to believe there is something greater than ourselves, that if understood could provide our lives with purpose and meaning.
Of course, others want to be certain no such thing exist, making it easier to focus finding personal meaning.

We know that He exists, hence the enduring myth of God throughout recorded history.
God has written His revelation to mankind into our hearts and minds. But God's thoughts are not our thoughts, hence we strive to understand as much as we can about Him.

i guess we question what we can not see... plus people are nosy and curious God made us with the power to learn therefore we want all the questions about Him in our head to be answered so we can learn.

I think because inside they really want to know about God....some are afraid He'll make them change their lifestyle and others just want to know if He's real.
