Hampton means Southampton in the Hilaire Belloc poem "Stanzas written on Battersea Bridge During a South wesrely Gale" where he writes "I'll take the Hampton Road without a warning and get me clean away". Also the reference to "Hampton" in Henry V when he's waiting to embark for France and talking about the Earl of Cambridge conspiring to kill him, means Southampton.

Apart from that there is Hampton in Greater London (Middlesex) as in Hampton Court.

Also, Hampton in Shropshire, Hampton in Worcestershire, Hampton Bishop near Hereford, Hampton Heath in Cheshire, Hampton in Arden, Hampton Lovett, Hampton Lucy, Hampton on the Hill, Hampton Poyle, Hampton Township and Hampton Wick.

Then of course there's Northampton, Littlehampton... and probably a lot more.

Hampton comes from the Old English "hamm" - land hemmed by rivers or on a river bend + ton.

Lots of places in England between or by rivers.....

Hmmmm. According to someone else, Hampton is a place in London. Which is probably true, but I have no idea whether that's what you mean.

There is a place in Southampton called Hampton Park (it's the area around mayfield road and broadlands road if you want to look on multimap). I have no idea if that's what you mean.
