No penicillin. It is rumored that it is made with Coca leaves (the same stuff used to make cocaine), but Coca Cola neither denies nor confirms the rumor.

no it doesn't, if it did then wooo that will be one tasty doctors prescription!
it was rumoured once that coke was actually in coca cola, to the point that i think certain bottles were removed from store floors, but not all, and it is true the company never denied or said the rumour was true, which does leave the suspicion because i did read once that a certain stock of cola was pulled back suddenly with very little media coverage.
but obviously you don't always need the media to hype it up for a rumour to spread (whether this is actually true i don't know)

Nope. Back in the old days it was sold as a medicine because of its stimulant properties. It was more a 'tonic' than a cure in the way we think about medicine onw. For a bit more info on it have a look at the wikipedia entry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola .

people can have an allergic reaction to penicillin which can kill them
do you think coca cola would put such a thing in their drink

hope not, or maybe thats what makes me want to vomit when i drink it. Am allergic 2 penicillin.

the ingredients of coke if recall correctly are water ,caramel , sugar,phosphoric acid and caffeine.There are people who suggest cochineal is added for colouring ( cochineal is a cactus parasite which exudes a red liquid when squeezed)
