A boy who is ready to convert (his religion) for the sake of his girl in the first place ... is he insane or in love or temporarly blind or wise ... knowing that he will take this decision after studying well the rules of that other religion.

Is it love for the girl and a convinced mind about the religion?

It could very well be love. If he isn't happy with his current religion, or doesn't partake in the services often, or if he feels like he isn't learning anything from it and feels your religion can provide that, then he may be more than willing to change, not only for himself, but because he loves you and wants to be closer to you as well. If he feels physically and emotionally close to you, he may only be lacking in his feeling spiritually close to you.

My dad was Methodist and converted to being Catholic because he liked the practices better and he wanted to be married in the Catholic church with my mom who was Catholic all her life.

Remember, he isn't just jumping into the conversion, he is studying the rules first.
