I realised that I don't want to be with anyone at the moment... They all turned out to be bores, or their behaviour irritated me or there were other reasons... I guess I should just leave the dating scene for a while, concentrate on something else, and love will find me...Or?

We have all been there when we have been on so many dates and not found anyone we were even remotely interested in so don't think you are the only one to feel this way.
I think that maybe you are just trying too hard to find that special someone you can love, when it just doesn't work as easy that (although i wish it did).
Yes you do have to concentrate on the rest of your life but you don't have to cut yourself off from dating all together just don't go on dates with every single guy you meet. There is nothing wrong with being picky about who you go out with.
Just have fun and soon enough that special someone will turn up.

Yeah - I don't understand this whole 'dating scene' thing. Much better to go out with freinds - people you like and do things that interest you. At least then if you meet someone doing the same things you've got at least that much in common.

hooray! you finally made it, i figured that a long time ago, i stopped being interested all together, i just said "if a man comes along then he comes along, i'm not gonna fret over it or be bothered when they do" and now i'm living with the most amazing man i know and guess what? he found me i wasn't interested in him. but his perserverance won me over, that what u need to do (little tip), u gotta show him u appreciate him, only about once every few weeks though, i tell my man im not bothered if he was here, and it keeps him on his toes, he cooks and cleans for me good luck. when that man comes along, treat him mean and keep him keen

There is no law that says everyone has to be with someone or be in love.
Being single can be freeing and fun....so maybe that's where you are right now.
Love will happen when it's time.
