Ok, my little boy has 3-4 tiny white spots on his bottom gums, they don't seem to be painful but he has been putting his fingers in his mouth a lot lately. He already has all his teeth. I clean his teeth three times a day, but the thing is still there... could this be some kind of infection? The spots have been there for almost 2 weeks. Thank you!...

What he has is commonly known as "thrush." It's a yeast infection in the mouth. Take him to his pediatrician for treatment. In the future, keep your baby's hands clean. Germy hands in the mouth is the biggest cause of thrush.

I remember my little brother had this its called Thrush I think. very common i believe but check with your doctor dont take anyones word for it on here.

If i remember right its kinda like a yeast infection of the mouth. I was younger when this happened though so im not totally sure. try searching Thrush on wikepedia.com that might help.

Good luck

Could be thrush. (this is candida related) Do you feed him baby food? If so, cut way back on the fruit. If you are still breat feeding GOOD FOR YOU! Cut way back on your sugar intake (even fruit) try giving him plain yogurt, and NO fruit juice.

My suggestion for you would be to call your dentist, and ask them. it could also be a result from him putting his fingers in his mouth alot. if you are really concerned about this i would call somebody.

It sounds fungal. There are special fungicides for baby's mouth, but ask your dr/dentist. Don't let it go too long.

It might be thrush. You want to call his pediatrician, as if they think the same they will want to see him. Better to call to make sure.

Sounds like thrush - my boys used to get it when they were babies. His pediatrician can treat it.
