Is it possible for a child who has escaped abuse to die years later from complications due to the abuse?

I'm sorry,I'm just really shocked after a story I just read on the web.I cannot believe such cruelty exists.

i'm amazed that you can't believe such cruelty exists. it's so prevalent & obvious in our society ... and not just our society, but on a global scale. there is so much to be disgusted with when it comes to the things that you see, hear and experience in life. but the Bible foretold all of this at 2 Timothy 3:1-5. it is clear that we are living in difficult times hard to deal with because it is the last days.

It's simply too bad to comprehend. A lot of abusers are family friends who know a child is vulnerable due to physical and verbal abuse. Then the child becomes withdrawn and can become a target fro school bullies

if you're talking about the physical type, it must have been really bad. About things that affect people psychologically....perhaps it caused the child to commit suicide? i know what you mean by being shocked, occasionally i am also shocked by hearing about something that happened that was really bad...or something really cruel...

its a sad world that we live in.

yes as the abuse can live in the unconcious mind for all of someones life and just one small thing can set it off and maybe kill them
