What is the sentence would be for an assault/bodily harm in Canada while intoxicated for a mutual fight? Two cousins, both have criminal records, one threatened the other's life, and the lives of his family, so man # 2 beat him up.

My friend is considering a plea bargain, but has a history of violence. What is the minimum and maximum sentence for assault causing bodily harm? Also, what is the minimum and maximum for breach of probation as well?

as a Canadian i have no problem admitting that the justice system here is lax at best don't be surprised if the sentence is a tap on the wrist don't worry Canada has the fluffiest view on crimes you would have got in more trouble if you harmed a cat

Depending on courts, the fact that he has priors is not going to fall in his favour, assault causing bodily harm I have seen runs 6 years, breach of probation can be served concurrent, on the outside 2 years, not much more than that. Do you think your friend might have contacted the police when the threats were used? Using assault to 'solve' problems creates more than it solves.

It nevertheless is going against the definition of a real marriage.." The union of a guy and a woman purely". What next, a farmer 'marrying' his wide-unfold ewe, a brother 'marrying' his sister, a woman 'marrying' her puppy Alsatian... purely because of the fact ahhh, 'they love one yet another'. those circumstances does not impression genuine heterosexual marriage the two, besides the shown fact that it does not mean they'd desire to be allowed.
