Try tying a Jolly Ball by thick rope to a post to create a tether ball. Always supervise play though.

My favorite idea is:
Put a tennis ball inside one of your old socks (he'll probably prefer one that hasn't been washed!). Knot the end of the sock. The weight of the ball makes this toy a good object to use in fetch games and the sock provides the opportunity for tug-of-war games (which should only be played with adults -- not children). When you're away from home, your dog will find your scent on the sock comforting
I posted two websites below that have other great ideas. I hope you find one that works for you and your dogs...good luck.....<3

I have the same problem, my dogs eat every toy I buy them. The best thing to do is get a small wagon tire. The ones that are solid rubber and let them chew on that for a while. It will also clean their teeth. You can take two of the tires and tie them together with a thick rope and let them play tug of war with it. Don't give them any thing that you would normally not want them to chew on like socks or old shoes because then they will think it is OK to chew on your good stuff they find if it is left out.

Dogs love knotted socks. They smell like the owner, they work great for tug of war, they are cheap, and an easy way to get rid of the socks without a mate!
On the downside, they may cause the dog to think any sock is good for this. My beagle did at first, but soon she realized that only the knotted socks were hers. Your dog can definitely learn the difference too.

take 2 jolly balls and tie them on the ends of a kind of long thick rope. A ball on each end makes it so that; 1) you can fling it across the yard and it will catch their attention by spinning. or
2) they can both have and end and play a difficult game of tug O war together..
and you do not have to monitor play. if they're stupid enough to get hurt they wont do it the next time for heaven's sake they're dogs. people talk about oh they're one of the smartest animals and blah blah blah. but then turn around and treat them like a human. "oh if we don't feed them this food they'll starve because the dont LIKE the other food" or "we have to watch them while they play or they might hurt themselfs"
ok if they get hurt playing with a soft toy on a steady ground they obviousely aren't one of the smartest animals are they? or if they're stupid enough to STARVE themselfs they need to die because there is just something not right there!
anyways sorry about that..
hope it works :)

Using an old sock put a tennis ball inside and knot the opening. I haven't seen a dog yet that doesn't enjoy this one.
Tie a towel in a big knot and toss it out in the yard.
My German Sheppard loves the plastic buckets, milk jugs, fire wood, large chew bones, ball in sock, a large bath towel tied in a knot.
Put honey or peanut butter on/in the kongs.

I only know a hot summer day one
I take those raw hide sticks and put them in a stainless steel bowl with enough water to cover them. Freeze it. I make one for each dog.
When they have been out side romping and playing and it's time to cool off, I run a little warm water over the bowl, take out the frozen treats and toss each one, (outside of course)
They love it!!!!!
you can use other treats besides raw hide but it need to be something that won't get to soggy while the water freezes

My wife and I also go to the Goodwill for stuffed toys. I like the hand puppets we have a Great Dane (120 lbs) and a Pappion (6.5 lbs) and they both love the puppets to play with humans. They also play tug of war with the stuffed toys. The Dane is very gentle with the Pappion.
