of course not. not YFC 71 at least. even rampage said he needed a couple more tune up fights before he should get a shot @ chuck.
i think dana is giving him the shot b/c he's the last loss on chuck's record that he has yet to avenge. and since thats been brought up constantly, why wait? it keeps everything fresh in people's minds.
and also chuck is dana's boy. obviously he makes loads of cash for him, so dana doesnt want to see him go down. and he would like to give him rampage before he (qj) gets all the rust out of his game.
and finally who else is there for him to fight? he's beaten tito 2x...babalu 2x and couture twice. are they gonna give him jardine, rashad or forrestt? interesting fights, but those 3 are still up and comers.
what im waiting for is hoping cro cop goes down to lightheavy and those 2 get it on.

Do you even have a clue buddy? Liddell asked for this fight, to avenge his previous loss. Jackson has said in public he wants one more warm up fight before Liddell but the UFC wants to give Chuck the advantage, so it's on. Some of these people ar absolute morons. It's not like these guys like Cro COp, Rampage, ANderson SIlva are coming out of no where. They were in Pride which by most experts is considered to have the better fighters, plus they were already recognized fighters before Pride. Why the hell should a guy like Mirko Cro Cop have to build up his reputation before he gets a shot when he was fighting in K1 which is the top kickboxing org in the world?

Of course he does. He won 4 fights in a row including 1 pride and 1 UFC. He has a storied history including a win over Liddell. MMA is bigger than just the UFC. Wins outside of UFC count and his career counts.
He definitely deserves a shot right now. He is 1-0 against Liddell.

Technically no, but seeing as how he was the very last man to defeat Liddell a few years back & that he's the last unavenged loss Liddell has to defeat, why not?
I still say if Liddell wins he'll retire or move up one weight class, if Rampage wins he'll demand an imediate rematch.

Not yet but really that is why he came to the UFC. He himself said he wanted to get a few more matches under his belt in order to get ready for the Lidell fight. The next question though is who else deserves a fight against Liddell? I think this fight is happening to quick but there really seems like no one else to put up against Liddell.

While I agree that "Rampage" doesn't deserve the title shot so soon, I also agree with the previous comment one "who else is there?"
CroCop-Liddell would be a very good fight, and it would be much easier for Chuck to move up a weight class and perform than for someone to move down a weight class.

No Jardine sshould be fighting Liddell. Rampage should fight some other high rank fighter before fighting Liddell. Even Evans should be fighting Liddell before Rampage.

Rampage cannot beat Liddell now. Tito would beat Rampage. Tito is still the #2 guy, but he's had 2 shots so whaddya gonna do. Feed Rampage to Chuck, that's what you do.

If these big stars were put through the UFC gauntlet they might have a losing streak and want to leave. So why wouldnt you get the biggest, most ultimate names in fighting as possible UltimateFC belt holders, making UFC without a doubt the baddest-*** MMA organization eternally. Gives NA fighters opportunity to become international stars by stomping these PRIDE stars [or get stomped ie anderson silva] settles international dispuits, puts the deathUFCgrip on worldwide MMA organizations, gives President White vast greenbacks, giving us in return even more UFCaction.

no but UFC signed him for this specific reason. UFC know that the fight between "Rampage" and the "Iceman" will draw a huge PPV crowd.
it's super smart business on the part of Zuffa and Dana White
