yea, if a dog is bored he can develop some strange habits. My friend had a dog that was obsessed with running around the house. He would run and run and he even wore a path in the yard. Some dogs will lick themselves in a certain spot over and over until it bleeds even if there is nothing wrong with it.

Yep, dogs can get ocd just like humans. i;ve heard it before its normal for some dogs.If you thinks its a promblem contact your vet and he/she will know what to do to help. Dogs will Develop or animal will ocd beacause somthing that may had happen to him or her in its life and the she or he had done somthing when that was going on and made him feel safe. So now your dog may be doing these things to prevent it from ever happening again.
That may be the cause...im not doctor though

to start with, there is not any question for every physique in the event that they "have" OCD because of the fact anybody does. some people have it worse than others. anyhow, i've got confidence which you're being obsessive compulsive. the only suggestion I unquestionably have for you is to objective and overlook approximately it. The greater you lose your self over those issues the greater severe they get. good success -Alex

Yes, one of my dogs has just recently been diagnosed with it. He has be severely abused, and because of that he will eat anything and everything that will fit into his mouth. My vet put him on clomipramine (generic for Clomicalm) and it has helped quite a bit. Plus he has separation anxiety which the meds help too.

If you are concerned about you dog it is best to take it to the vet.

Yes, the dog I am thinking of was on a dachshund rescue site, and she was born into a puppy mill. She had a severe case of it, and for that reason, has not been adopted into anyones home. Poor little thing.
Stop PUPPY MILLS!!!
