Lol, even secular scientists believe in other dimensions. I suggest you do some reading up before you dismiss anyone's beliefs...

I agree with King... but let's see what else I can do here...
First of all, it's about as absurd as God believing in us, wouldn't you think? And He does, otherwise He wouldn't have created us.
Secondly, the Bible does mention the Kingdom of God as being around us, but that doesn't mean it's definitely on earth, or definitely otherworldly. It also - in the Old Testament - interchanges Gahena (the trash dump away from the city, essentially) with Hell, so I can see where the confusion might come from.
Thing is... God asks us to believe, and it's not for us to WORRY over where heaven and hell are, exactly. It's over everyone's heads, to some degree... because if it wasn't, we wouldn't need faith to believe.

I don't know about our IQ. but I will say that I will believe what the Bible say about heaven and hell. What you question says, I say that you get a taste of heaven or hell on this earth.
Salvation gives you a taste of heaven and life unsaved gives you a taste of hell.
The two can not really be described. I know this, I want to go to heaven and miss hell.
Have you wondered what if us Christians are right? Would you hate to find out we were right and the others were wrong? If that happens, at least you have eternity(forever), to think about it while you suffer undescribable torment.

ANSWER (if you are really ready)
No.
Regarding Heaven -
Secular Answer:
* Heaven is a place where one will not be affected by the troubles of this world. Assuming you look at the news from time to time, every spot on earth has been affected negatively (earthquakes, tornadoes, erupting volcanos, etc.)
Spiritual Answer:
* The Flesh is sin. When Adam&Eve sinned, they no longer resembled God. Plus, the new testament states that flesh is sin. To enter heaven, the spirit and flesh will have to be separated. The only way for that to happen is death, and The Bible states that "the wages of sin is death (a physical death)." <>
Regarding Hell:
Secular Answer:
Although there are a lot of problems going on in all parts of the planet, there are plenty of good things going on. Hell is trouble and torment in all aspects. People in Iraq are experiencing blessings.
Spiritual Answer:
Hell is more torment than can be experienced on Earth. At least on Earth, you have places you can go to get away and find peace for a moment. In Hell you are a slave to Satan. Plus, in hell you are tormented forever. On Earth, you have problems until you die. Which leads me to my final point. Hell is a place for those who lived as non-believers. When you die, your spirit has to go somewhere. "Where" depends on the simple fact if you lived as a believer.
Have you?

There are some questions which we, as human beings, cannot understand, just as we cannot look out at the night sky and understand how it goes on and on forever. We have finite minds, and can't comprehend infinity. That is why God is God. Only He can really understand and know the reason for some things. We have to accept some things on faith, just as we accept infinity without understanding it. I think we have to accept Heaven as on a different plane in that same way. The only way to ever truly understand how it will be, is to go there. There is a lot of information about Heaven in the Bible, which is God's word. To try to understand things relating to God, you have to listen to Him. And, the only way to listen to Him, is by hearing or reading his Word, the Bible. Try it. It really works. I responded to another question in the following manner:
A true Christian loves God first, and his neighbor (fellow human beings) as he loves himself. God IS Love. His love was so great that He sent his only Son to die for me, in spite of all the awful things I had done in my life. While Jesus was on the cross, He experienced the shame and disgrace for all the sins that you and I and anyone who has ever lived has committed. He did that because he wanted us not to have to pay for those sins ourselves. "Greater love hath no man".
Jesus told us that He was going to prepare a place for us, and that He would come again and take us there to be with Him. That place is Heaven. I can't comprehend it fully, but I believe in it with all my heart.

i have a hard time believing in other dimensions but sometimes you just have to take that leap of faith and just believe. trust that there is a heaven and hell and that one day, soon, all humans will be in one of those two places.

If hell and heaven are attained after death, that means they are in another planets. In this planet, our bodies are made of material gross elements, and one supposed to go to hell or heaven, is either the subtle body or the spiritual body. Spiritual body means, spiritual environment, spiritual world, God has spiritual body and one can not enter there nor associate with Him, unless we get spiritual body.
