has anyone ever met anyone on the internet and if yes how do u get started?

Hi!

I met my boyfriend on the internet 3 years ago, and we've been together ever since!

Just type online dating into Google, and you'll get loads of websites. http://www.match.com is obviously a good one too.

Regardless of what some judgemental people believe, it's really not just full of weirdos and perverts. At the end of the day, the case for many people is that they fall into the following groups:

1). Under 30s, with no commitments = curious and fed up of meeting sleazy people in bars!
2). Divorced
3). Working full time and no time to meet anyone!

In my case, I was curious and had just come out of a relationship - in his case, he was looking for something serious and all his friends were married and so he didn't go out as much as he used to, therefore couldn't meet anyone!

I think it's a brilliant way to meet people. But you just have to be very careful and if you do decide to meet up with someone, have a friend hang around to make sure you're safe.

well it depends if you know anyone you want to meet, or if your just looking. If you looking i suggest joining dating sites and chat rooms (they have different area rooms these days too).

if you want to meet someone that you met, get to know them for a few months or weeks, this means phoning them, so your both use to each others voices, looking at pictures will also help calm nervs when you meet.

whenever your ready to meet just say something like, "i'm going to be in (particulare area), do you want to meet for a while"..or "i been meaning to ask you if you want to meet up for a while" etc etc. meet in a busy place and tell someone where your going. thats it, nothing much too it. keep the first meeting short, incase the person is really boring and not your type. and if there is a connection, then you can just meet again.
