Jehovah's Witnesses do not consider the study of God's Word to be a chore.

(Deuteronomy 11:17-19) Jehovah is giving you. “And you must apply these words of [Jehovah] to your heart and your soul and bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they must serve as a frontlet band between your eyes. You must also teach them to your sons, so as to speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up.

(Deuteronomy 6:4-9) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah. And you must love Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your vital force. And these words that I am commanding you today must prove to be on your heart; and you must inculcate them in your son and speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up. And you must [metaphorically] tie them as a sign upon your hand, and they must serve as a frontlet band between your eyes; and you must write them upon the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

I am, so that's ONE. I started to study the Bible at age, mmmh, 8? My parents helped me with the basic things and as i got older, i started to study the harder materials. I was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses at the age of 14. That was 10+ years ago and up to this day, I continue to study the Bible. How do i find the time out of my busy schedule? I read one scripture a day, usually in the morning for 5 minutes (we call it the Daily Text) and 1 HOUR during the week at night. It's hard to make time for a bible study but Jesus did say that "Happy are those who are aware of their spiritual needs"---

i am.. i started studying at the age of 17. I am now 21. i used to study when i was 8 but we kept moving and kept losing contact with whom ever we were studying with. I was the only one who made the "truth" my own in my family. but i have hope that one day they will start studing again. I make time out of my schedule to study. I love getting closer to jehovah and teaching others about him. how do i make time for him. i always have time for jehovah. i listen to the watchtower on tape in my car. when im at work i read the bible online. I do my personal reading at home and on the weekends i do most of my preaching. it keeps me very busy and i love being busy in the ministry.

what kept me studying was the love that Jehovah had for me. the love the congregation and CONSTANT prayer. it is not simple to study the bible at seventeen when everyone else was out clubbing and drinking and having sex. im not going to say that i was a perfect teenager but no one is perfect and jehovah helped me get through so many obstacles and i learned how to get closer to him.

My Wife and I were baptized in Aug. 1996. Hi and nice to meet you. We go to the Lakewood Cong. in Calif..
When I first started studying I was like a sponge, I was just soaking all this beautiful bible knowledge in. I had 3 hour studies with the Elder I studied with. I went through the Knowledge Book so quickly and covered alot of the scriptures in depth. Deep studies. My Wife and I were loving what we were learning so we sacrificed things that were less important. We were so encouraged after our studies we couldn't wait for the next one. Paul said buy out the time for the days are wicked. The truth is beautiful !!!
