I am trying to find out what still life photography is!

A still life, be it painting, drawing, or photography is a deption of a set of inanimate objects. For instance, fruit in a bowl, stuff on a table, etc. It would not include pictures of animals, humans, buildings, or nature/landscapes, for those are their own categories.
Usually, but not always, it's an arranged setup, with the items in the picture/painting having been arranged for a good composition.

Photographing thing that cannot move. I remember in photography class, we looked at portraits of fruit alot and they called that "still life"

photos of stuff that is not animated (stuff that has never moved) same as still life painting, some subjects are plants & rocks, if the photo is a view it's called landscape
