I never say my prayers out loud..

When I attend Feast (Baha'i worship service), myself and other Baha'is pray out loud.

Any other time, I pray quietly. Sometimes I recite the prayers out loud, sometimes I read them, sometimes I say them in my head while not making a sound, sometimes using prayer beads, and I've even prostrated myself on the ground (on knees, forehead to floor, hands by head), but not often. Whichever way I communicate with God, if it's not during Feast, it's done most modestly, without people knowing what I'm doing.

Sometimes I just pray in my mind. Other times I talk out loud..just like Im having a conversation with God. I do this when Im alone...lol...dont go walking down the street talking away to God..
It depends on how I feel at the time.

Before we pray... we need to understand the meaning of word "pray". People go to temples, churches and mosques to pray. I have come across people who have been doing this religiously for above 15 years yet, according to them the results were nil. Why?

Why do such people not reap the fruits of their prayers?

It is for the simple reason that in the domain of God, we reap what we sow... Nothing more or less! Religiously saying our prayers does not mean anything for God. If Stephen Hawking in his book, "a brief history of time" has expressed that the system of God is disordered at some stage... Stephen Hawking is disillusioned... he fails to understand the basic rudiments of the system of God.

In the domain of God nothing is disordered at any stage. As we perform... so shall we get! Offering prayers and not committing something to god does not mean anything. If we desire materialistic riches in our prayers... we need to commit something in return to god.

It can be working for the welfare of the community... making donations in the true spirit for the benefit of mankind and what not! Empty prayers are never heard in the domain of God.

Whenever prayers are offered with something in return... they are normally heard by God. But even in our prayers... nothing is left to chance by God. We get what we deserve... not what we think we should get! As we perform so is our future. All is governed by the doctrine of karma. Mostly I pray silently, except when I'm alone in the car, then I pray and sing out loud.

Both. Common Prayer (keeping one's Daily Office with the Body of Christ - whether I am currently in a Community or not) is a major part of Catholic faith and practice from the very beginning.

Contemplatively. Every time... cooking, showering, driving... A prayer doesn't have to be long and it doesn't have to be memorized words. Just by talking to whoever you believe is enough (God, Jesus, saints or spirits).

Peace!
