And what did Jesus tell us was the Work of the Father? If you look at verse 22 in Matthew 7 those that are being rejected are doing some pretty good works.
Prophesying in His name
Casting out devils in His name
In His name doing many wonderful works
Yet what does it say, depart from me, ye that work iniquity. I never knew you.

So what does Jesus say are the true WORKS of God

John 6:29
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

I guess the Church has it right salvation come by FAITH alone.. Jim

The Bible has no power to save anyone.

Only God does, along with the one, holy, universal, and apostolic Church that Jesus founded, authorized, and suitably empowered.

Jesus founded the Church, left it behind on the earth, and gave the Church the power and authority to be our infallible guide to salvation, and the primary distributor of all God's grace.

Jesus never "founded" a Bible. Nor did Jesus ever give power to the Bible, or to anyone who claims to believe the Bible, alone.

There's only one Church, but there are hundreds of different variations of scripture, and tens of thousands of differing interpretations of that scripture.

They can't all be right. Logic and truth dictates that most are wrong, in many, many ways.

Anyone who desires salvation needs to accept BOTH Jesus and the only Church he ever personally founded for the purpose of our salvation, because the Church remains the mystical body of Christ, with Jesus as its' head.

The Bible remains the inerrant, inspired written word of God, but it wasn't intended to subvert the authentic and authorative mission of the Church, which belongs to the Eternal Word of God, our redeemer, and the 2nd person of the Holy Trinity, who is Jesus Christ, the Lord.

To attempt such a thing would be heresy, coupled with disobedience, and the last time I checked, both of those were very serious sins, to be repented of.

if you want to go to Heaven, you have to believe with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind that Jesus is Lord and He came down to earth as a perfect human, did no sin, died on a cross, and rose again and is alive today sitting next to God in Heaven. If you truly believe what the Bible says, and not just out of fright of going to hell, but truly truly believe in Jesus, you will go to Heaven.
Hope this helps!

Loving God and your neighbor is God`s foremost law for you to become His instant member or children.
Obeying His words and living on it as He advises is pleasing God which might earn you eternal happiness. Because living according to the word and will of God is very hard to do when you don`t have the willingness to accept and believed anything and everything about Him. Good luck and be blessed!!!

Jesus said I have come to fulfill the LAW. It means if you obey God and receive Him as your Saviour - you will fulfill all the rest of the LAW through the Sanctification of the Holy Spirit.
