I noticed that there is a guide to emigration on there, it might lead you some good place.
Personally, I like email lists that focus on certain areas, also. You can network with others.
BTW, I notice that you mention 1920's in your post.. then 1948. Typo?? Dates can be critical when looking for what is available.
