Honestly, I want people to do what would give them comfort.

I don't know that I would really want any. However, funeral services are for the living not the dead, and I think it's kind of unfair to take away the time your family and friends may need to grieve. So, something smallish at church... but the cheapest casket possible and no flowers! Expensive and dead in 48 hours. Take yourselves to lunch instead with my compliments.

Donate all the funeral moneys to charity.

Bury me in one of the ghost-town graveyards from 150+ years ago that are hidden away within the woods off the backwoods dirt roads all over upstate NY.

The charity will be helped by the donations, and maybe some kid 100 years later will discover my grave, in with all these much older gravestones, and think it's cool and be inspired by it.

I would want cremation, followed by a Wiccan funeral service.

My husband is very open to Wicca, and so would not mind the religious content, and many of my friends are Wiccan, so they would feel fulfilled by the experience (I hope). However, ultimately it will not matter to me one bit, so if after my death I had a different type of service -- one that served the community of my survivors better -- I'd have no objection to that.

I used to want a green burial, but now I'm leaning toward mummification. Either way, I do want a death mask made.

But at the service, no preacher, no hymns, no bible versus, no talk of Heaven, no talk of God. I like the idea of playing some of my favorite songs, and a slide show, sort of a tribute to my life.

i does not, yet it rather is because of the fact i don't choose to attend funerals. acquaintances of my husband's lost their 3 year old these days with the aid of an twist of destiny, and we had to attend the funeral because of the fact we knew the kinfolk and it replaced into very confusing for me because of the fact our son is two years old. all i ought to think of roughly replaced into in basic terms a week previous the place we would attended the new child's older sister's social gathering and he and my son had performed a sprint on the playground jointly. i'm uncertain what appropriate protocol in the region is, inspite of the undeniable fact that it variety of feels like the occasion for kinfolk and close acquaintances.

I want to be cremated and I want a service that reminds folks that I am looking forward to the next leg of my journey and that I will always be in their hearts, so there is no real loss.

Peace!

I am leaning towards cremation.I am from another state and want to be laid to rest by my family. The cheapest memorial will be fine.I want no one to see me dead.My kids can do whatever they want, My cremation will be paid for in advance.Ashes are a lot easier to bury so that is the way to go.good question.

It won't matter cuz i'll be dead.

The people who live after my death can do whatever makes them feel good. Cuz they are the only ones that it will matter too.

I do have greater hope in science then god so if they want to freeze my brain then i'd go for that.

No service at all.

But if my family has to have one (for their sake), I would prefer they have a small wake and play my favorite songs. No bible, no preacher, no hymns. And no one better utter the words that I've gone on to a "better place"!!!

I want it to be completely up to my family. I'm not going to know the difference, but my loved ones are going to be the ones to experience it. I want whatever is easiest for them, and brings them the most comfort.
