... in life. Alcohol, drugs, sex, just to name a few. Their self-judgment makes them carry such a guilt that the idea of a Christ that will forgive them and accept their sins, is a very good and plausible comfort. The religion and and the Bible brings them the compromise to spread the word, give their testimony and save other souls. Religion made them feel good about themselves again and they want to share that with others. However, those born and raised as Christians, when teens, tend to question their belief, because parents forced them to go to church, not even giving them the chance to think by themselves. When they are adults though, if not sunk in fear, they might change their religion, search for others possibilities or become atheists altogether.
Would you agree that there is a big difference here between Christians converted after a life of sins and those born Christians? Would you agree that their convictions are far apart?

This is what you get when you tell people that all they have to do is believe in Jesus and they will go to heaven anyways- people are going to abuse it. I am my own branch of the Protestant church and, I'm still debating whether I believe that this is all that is necessary to get into heaven. I think to some degree you will be judged by your actions, but how harshly, I don't know. God is forgiving, is he not?
I quote Frederick the Great- "In my kingdom, everyone may go to heaven in their own fashion."

Disagree with your reasoning here. Many Christians are NOT Christian because they have committed a lot of sin... many came to know the Lord and Savior while in their youth. It was not until after they left home, they experience sin more than ever before. Now if you said, "many Christians have come back to the Lord because of their sinful nature." I would agree with you there. Most go out on their own, seeking life the way they want to seek it. But, as they years pass away, they realize they have strayed. They turn from that wicked way and they put on a new self, the new self that was waiting to be worn. I know ... I did exactly that. Praise God, He loves me so much He has forgiven me of all my sins. :o) Thank you Lord!!!
No one is born Christian! We all are born without religion! We might be born into a family that is Christian based. One has to be willing to do away with old creature (self) and put on the new creature (self) in Christ Jesus. If you don't allow God to reshape and mold you... then you are fighting against God, not man.

No one is born a Christian.
Even though you are brought up in a christian family, it doesn't make you a christian.
Everyone must come to a point in their life where they realize they are sinners in need of a Savior.
You're right some people it takes something to happen in their life to call out to Jesus.
When we realize there is nothing within ourselves or in this world that can help us.
Jesus meets us where we are.
As for as children becoming Christians, I guess it depends on what the child understands and sincerely accepting Christ in their hearts.

To the Lord, there is no difference. However, I believe that those of us who have always been Christians can have a tendency to take His salvation for granted. I have fallen into this myself. I have also committed sin but all of us do that. When you accept Christ, your past sins are forgiven. You must then try and walk the path of righteousness which is hard to do. Nevertheless, you know you have The Lord on your side and when you seem to slip, He will grab you away from the sin if you just ask.

No one is really born a Christian, as Jesus says "You must be born again", which is an act of God. When this happened in my life, I wanted people to know what I had come to know, so I would "spread the word."
So there would be a difference between those who are born-again and those who would be "religiously" Christian.

No one is born a christian. We were all born into this world as sinners. Regardless of their background or how they first heard about Jesus. There is only one way to Heaven. Jesus said " I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one cometh to the Father but by Me. All who want to be saved and go to heaven must go through Jesus and admit that they are a sinner, believe that Jesus is the Son of God and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord.
