i need some help translating my sentence into spainsh. Please do not use a translater they do not work.?

Question

In the past there was less students in the school and less teachers because the school wouldn’t of been as big as it is know as none of the extensions had been built. In the future I think the school will be even bigger with around 5000 students and 1000 teachers

If anyone has any ideas on how i could improve my sentence please say.

En el pasado había menos estudiantes y profesores en la escuela porque ésta no era tan grande como es ahora, pues ninguna de las extensiones habían sido construídas. Yo creo que en el futuro la escuela será aún más grande, con alrededor de 5000 estudiantes y 1000 profesores.

I wish I could translate this into Spanish for you properly, but just a suggestion... maybe try to put it into proper English first.

En el pasado, habia menos estudiantes y maestros en la escuela porque la escuela no estaba tan grande que esta ahora. Ya no extensiones no habia sido construido. En el futuro, yo pienso la escuela sea mas grande con approximente 5.000 (cinco mil) estudiantes y 1.000 (mil) maestros.
