I mean when it is healing it will constantly be damp and also constantly havong food on it so what with bacteria and such would it even be possible to get done and have a safe recovery?

yes it is possible. I saw a tv show on prisons and they are not allowed to have tattoos but some prisoners tattoo their tongue or inside lip. Doesn't seem to macho to show another their tattoo

wut ok i hv heard of a tounge ring n a tattoo on the skin but tounge?? no i hv never seen any1 with that n if it iz real then it would prolly come off in like less than a day. Dont worry ppl usally dont joke around with stuff like that n tell her u will make the biggest mistake in ur life! kuz a gurl i kno got her tounge piecred n she said it waz the BIGGEST mistake she ever did in her life n always will b! just tell her no it will b the BIGGEST mistake in ur life dont i dont wana risk losing a friend forever(as in like die). so just talk 2 her n talk her out of it but i dont think that can happenn just dont worry.

It is possible. It might be painful, but the needle actually pushes the ink into your flesh not just on the surface. Your tongue is actually flesh too, so think about it.

I understand the only part of the body that can't be tattoo'd is the bottoms of the feet...only because that skin gets calloused, then sloughs off...but I could be wrong... :) wouldn't be the first time! LOL

I've seen tattoos on inner lips and tongue. god, wouldn't that hurt....with all the nerves....and *shivers* Tattoos are sexy, just not in your mouth. Tongue piercings are really hot, though.
