Of course the New Testament would seem absurd to someone who doesn't know Christ:

1Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

To those of us who have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, the New Testament is a love story, the likes of which has never been written before or since. It tells us of the One Who loved us so much that He was willing to die for us.

Absurd? Probably -- at least by worldly standards.

Beautiful and glorious beyond imagining? Absolutely -- at least to those of us who know Him.

No it's not.

Read 2 Timothy 3:16. None of it is absurd.

All of the Bible was written to tell us of Gods perfect plan for each of us. We need to know it all and understand it all. It all fits together like a glorious, giant jigsaw puzzle, with each little piece fitting together at a time, to tell the full story of the plan of God.
None of it is absurd. Its only cuz you dont understand it, and you wont unless you begin to study it , pray about it and stay with it till God gives you revelation. ANd you must obey what you learn too, cuz God says obedience to God is what protects us. Jesus saves, the gift is free.
But, to keep that gift and hold on to it and not be deceived, we must obey God, then He keeps us in his care and wont let us be deceived.
I pray you find Jesus soon, before its too late. Its worth all you put into learning and knowing and doing. amen
