For the same reason Christians respond to Athiest questions. Because they think the other side is missing valuable information. I am neither and I answer everybody's questions for the same reason.
Peace!

Why do Christians complain about almost everything atheists do?
I only respond to a Christian question if it's about atheists (which SO many of them are) or if I know the answer. I don't see much slamming and only a hypocrite could say that there was less slamming of atheists by Christians than the reverse. I don't know if that applies to you, but that's my 2c worth.

I can't speak for other atheists, but I don't answer most Christian's questions. I only answer the ones that are addressed to atheists specifically, or are the type of questions that can be answered by anyone. If it's a question that's obviously a Christian to Christian question, then I skip it.
There are people of all beliefs systems on here that butt into questions obviously not meant for them. That's the nature of an open forum. Only thing you can do is learn to ignore it.

If I answer a Christian question I always try to give a fair and justifiable answer to the question based on my knowledge of Theology.
I do it as a form of trivia game, basically, "Oh, Oh, I know the answer!"
I try not to slam anyone for honest answers to sincere questions.

Well, I´m an atheist and I do that. That´s because I find quite pittyful people worshipping an archetipe (to me) such as the image of a God, just for curiosity, and please, don´t get offended, but my personal "belief" is that religion is a psychological phenomenon almost like a pathology...

I'll answer when it seems the asker is genuinely asking for information that I happen to know or for advice. I try not to slam anyone.

I'm sure there's borads online where only Christians go, so it's not like they can't find places where every answer is "Yeah Jesus!"
Maybe Christians secretlly know that a lot of their religion is based on hocus, and some of it on pocus and come here for a breath of fresh air.

I wonder if I should respond to this question. Can it be permitted? Is there some sort of form I should fill in or a license that I should apply for?

It's fun to pick on them. They get so mad; it's very immature. If they were secure in their beliefs (and stopped insulting us) they wouldn't get mad. But since they get mad, it means they aren't really sure about their beliefs and only know how to respond with anger.
The ones that respond peacefully and kindly have my respect. They actually know what their religion is about, and they don't need to fight to prove their faith.
