Priest joke?

An young priest does service beside an old priest in a parish.One day the old priest says to the young priest:
-Say after me: Repent and do not sin again.
The young priest is stunned but repeats it.
Then the old priest says:
-Now doesn't that sound better than: Haha, you don't say?! And then what happened?

A young man goes into the confessional. He says, "Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been one week since my last confession. During that week I had sexual relations with a loose girl, and member of our own parish, too."

The priest leans towards the screen and says, "Was it Nancy Bennigan?"

"Father, I can't say. It's for the girl to confess her own sin, right?"

"I suppose so," says the priest, "Was it Betty McDonnell?"

"Father, you can't ask me to betray someone I was intimate with." says the parishioner.

"You're right, me lad. Wait, I know, it had to be Clara Whitney."

"Father!" says the parishioner once more.

"Right, right. You're a sinner, but I'm glad you've a sense of loyalty and decorum." The priest then assigns the boy some prayers for penitence and admonishes him not to sin again. When the lad gets back to his seat in church, he best friend leans over to him and asks, "What'd you get?"

The boy replies, "Five 'Our Fathers', four 'Hail Marys', and three good leads."

then a huge meteor from the sky fall down to the earth and smashed the priest's location creating a huge mushroom of cloud that could be seen from the moon...after the chaos cleared....the place was left uninhabited and barren for so many years because of a joke that started the whole world to wonder...what the hell is he talking about?...
