They're satisfied that they understand more about the Universe's workings than the religious nutters of christianity and islam.
But they draw the line.
Athiesm doesn't think far enough. It doesn't apply logic and reason beyond what it can see and hear.
Athiesm never tried to figure out the Universe in accordance with logical deduction based on consistencies already observed.... but rather merely accepts that some things haven't been found out yet..... as though all will eventually be physically observed.
And that line is their folly.
That line they draw is what protects them from confronting the fundamental worthlessness of existence.... what keeps them in that last layer of blissful ignorance when they ironically move to strip the huge chunks of it from the theists...
The raw truth hurts... and they don't want to face it much more than the christians do.

GOOD QUALITY'S:
they're basically average people, with average need's,.... pretty much like most other people.
One thing that's common amongst them though,...... is that they rely on rational reasoning, and common sense, and will rebuff a concept or philosophy, if based on little more than pompous, emotional superstition.
BAD QUALITY'S:
when posting and answering question's,.... enjoy's both the humour and the trivia, but also prepared to run the ball hard,... and tackle hard..... Dislike's pompous, pretentious bullsh*t....

I can only answer for myself....
We tend to have many good qualities. I myself possess honor and high morals, and Im full of HOPE (does that shut up the fool above who thinks we have none??). As for bad qualities, I must admit that my biggest flaw is expecting the rest of the world to have the same basic grasp of critical thinking skills that I possess. And boy am I wrong with that one...

i don't think atheists (like other groups) hold good or bad qualities as a group. rather, individuals within the group can hold good or bad qualities. the main thing is, i won't force my views on you if you don't force your views on me. respecting others' opinions is what matters.

They are people who are trying to find their way in the world. They do not want to hurt anyone usually. They just can not subscribe to religion, or the idea of a higher being. However, they tend to come off as conceited.

Their good qualities include the fact that they are, for the most part, free thinkers and open-minded. Their bad quality--their overarching bad quality--is that they are too darn sure of themselves.

very scientifically oriented. Smart, witty and charming, and we have common ground when it comes to christianity and islam,
closed minded and arrogant at times, believes that there is no proof of God therefore God does not exist.
I myself am Agnostic on the subject.
