My fiance is an electrician and I heard that there is a metal that is being used to make wedding rings that will not conduct an electrical current. Do you know the name of the metal? and where I can buy a ring made from it?

It would have to be plastic, wooden or ceramic. All metals conduct electricity to varying degrees - it's one of the things that defines a metal. You might be able to get a non-conducting coating for it, but if it got scratched, it wouldn't help, anyway. He really will need to take it off when he works.

He may be thinking of a ceramic ring, that is made to look like gold.

ALL metal conducts electricity. That's part of the definition of what makes it 'metal'.
