My sis-in-law sent (what looks like to me) a "faith promothing rumor" about Boyd K. Packer of the LDS church telling his family to get their food storage and cash together NOW as something bad would happen in April. Sounds like hooey to me. The only place I can find it documented is on a food storage businesses web site!

It is hooey. The LDS church has long advocated every family to maintain a food storage and cash reserves but this is just a smart practice to be prepared in case of an emergency.

The LDS church is in the process of releasing some new pamphlets to the church in regards to family preparation in terms of food storage and cash reserves. The pamphlets have already been released to Bishops and should be generally available to everyone in April.

I'll bet this is where the rumor started.

If it sounds like hooey why are you asking and searching for an answer?

Something bad could happen at any time. That isn't much of a prophecy, now is it?
