I am home with my poorly step-daughter (aged 2). She has been ill since FRiday with a virus, which turned into a nasty cold and last night she started with sickness and diarrhea. She seems to be poorly nearly every week. I think that alot of it is due to being at nursery and illnesses getting past back and forth. I have just been told chicken pox is going around nursery so I am now keeping an eye out in case she has that too. Poor lamb seems to have it all at once.

Hope you son is better. Its that time of year sadly when germs breed

There is a lot of it going around at the moment. My 2 year old has just got over 4 days of constant vomiting, everything she drank/ate just came up. I took her to the GP and he said stay off dairy and drink water, little sips at a time - there really isn't much they can do. It is awful I know, I've still got the smell up my nose (!) poor little things but I wouldn't worry too much unless there are other signs like headache, rash, if he's had a bump on the head. If not then just keep up with the liquids and bland foods. Hope he gets better soon!

Kids do get these things especially if they are playing with other kids, nursery, playgroup etc. The only time to worry is if an infection/sickness/diarrhoea last for more than 24 hours. Then you need to get the doctor to have a check up done on him. Better news, summer is approaching and most of these bugs will be disappearing. Take care.

If he has a cold or allergies the sinuses may be draining into the stomach. Colds don't last a couple of days they can go on for weeks. Runny nose usually last about 7 days to 14 days. Coughing can last any where from 2 to 4 weeks.

My daughter had the same symptoms (HORRIBLE stomach ache, then LOTS of throw up, and then fall asleep for hours on end) and when I took her to the doctor, she said it is some medical term, but it basically feels like a migraine headache in the stomach, so the common term is "Stomach Migraines".

My daughter's pediatrician said they are not sure what causes it, but it is linked to family history. The only person who has had migraines in my family is my husband's grandfather, but she got it from him.

Anyway, they put her on some medicine called Peri-actyn (I think that is the correct spelling). It is an antihistamine, but it works on this condition too. According to my daughter, it tastes like a peppermint flavored bubblegum and It costs just $20.00 a month, and guess what? No more stomach aches since then! (Almost 2 years)

I certainly have a three 300 and sixty 5 days old who won't consume. do not rigidity her to consume because of the fact it won't artwork. enable her drink Pediasure which has each and all of the nutrition she needs in an afternoon and purely enable her consume whilst she says she's hungry. As for those tantrums, forget approximately approximately them. besides the shown fact that mine has not had any (thank goodness) my niece did whilst she grew to become into approximately that age. What we did grew to become into forget approximately approximately her whilst she had them. case in point, she could have them in the keep whilst she did not get what she needed and we walked removed from her and enable her stay on the floor (small city all and sundry is conscious her) till finally she got here visiting the corner with somebody. She did this for some month and that grew to become into it. in case you teach her which you're actually not phased via her tantrums, she'll quit finally. it's going to be a attempting time yet stand corporation.

We've been cycling through things every two weeks all winter. Keep him hydrated and wait for this cycle to pass. If it gets worse or you are getting really worried, make an appointment with the pediatrician. It's okay, really.

Is he in preschool? The first year of preschool for my boys was horrible. They were sick a lot! After leaving a public place put sanitizer on his hands and yours. I found that this helps. Good Luck!

my daughter gets something every other week so i wouldn't worry, there is a number of reasons, mainly being in a hot nursery with 25 other kids every day, also it could also be because you house is too clean and he hasn't built up immunity to certain bacterias.
